Special Yet Unforgettable Moment

Valentine’s Day is usually known as a celebration of love, flowers, and sweet surprises, but for me, February 14 became more than just a romantic holiday. It was a day filled with achievements, recognition, and special moments that I will always treasure. This year, our school held the 3rd Recognition Program on the same day, making it twice as meaningful. Instead of celebrating only love, I also celebrated my hard work and dedication.

During the 3rd Recognition Program, I was grateful and proud to be included in the honors list and to receive a Perfect Attendance award. Standing on stage and hearing my name called was such a fulfilling experience because it reminded me that all my efforts were worth it. I was also recognized for winning 1st place in the Longganisa Festival, which made the day even more unforgettable. It felt amazing to be appreciated not only academically but also for my talents and participation in festivals.

What made that morning even more special was seeing my teachers and classmates congratulate me after the program. Their kind words and smiles made me feel proud of myself and inspired me to do even better in the next quarter. Being recognized motivated me to continue striving for excellence, not just for awards, but for my personal growth and future goals.

In the afternoon, I spent the rest of Valentine’s Day with my special someone. After the busy and exciting morning, we went on a simple but meaningful date. He surprised me with flowers, which made me feel so special and appreciated. It wasn’t about the price of the flowers, but the thought and effort behind them. That moment made my heart full because I realized how blessed I am to have someone who supports me in both my achievements and my personal life.

Valentine’s Day will always remind me that love comes in many forms — love for family, love for school, love for achievements, and romantic love. February 14 was not just about gifts and celebrations, but about gratitude and appreciation for everything I have accomplished and the people who are always by my side.

Intayon Ilocos Sur!

The Intayon Ilocos Sur Festival is a vibrant celebration that showcases the unity, culture, and talents of the people of Ilocos Sur. The word “Intayon” means “let us go” or “let us all come together,” which perfectly represents the spirit of the festival. It is a time when locals and visitors gather to celebrate through music, food, and various cultural activities. The festival highlights the province’s rich traditions while also featuring modern entertainment that attracts many young people.

One of the most exciting parts of our experience was watching the
One Ilocos Sur Night, where several popular Filipino artists performed live. We were so thrilled to see Arthur NeryEarl AgustinYeng Constantino, and Adie on stage. The crowd sang along to their songs, and the atmosphere was full of energy and excitement. After the performances, we watched a beautiful fireworks display that lit up the night sky, making the celebration even more unforgettable.

Also, we visited the Ilocos Sur Festival Food Fair where we explored different local delicacies and products proudly made in the province. There were many food stalls offering traditional Ilocano dishes, and it was a great way to appreciate the local flavors. We also watched the Battle of the Bands and the Grand Jam, which were streamed live on Facebook. The performances were amazing, and it was inspiring to see talented local bands share their music with a wider audience.

Another thing that made the festival special was the strong sense of community that we felt throughout the celebration. Families, friends, and even tourists gathered together to support the events and enjoy the activities. Everyone seemed happy and united, whether they were cheering during the concerts, enjoying the food fair, or watching the live band performances. It showed how festivals like this can strengthen relationships and create lasting memories for everyone who attends.

Overall, the Intayon Ilocos Sur Festival was a memorable experience filled with music, food, and joyful moments. It brought people together to celebrate not only entertainment but also the culture and identity of Ilocos Sur. The festival truly showed how united and proud the Ilocanos are of their province.
