First Quarter Reflection

    1. What are the learning/discoveries that I have gained?

    -
The learning/discoveries that I have gained in the first quarter is to value time management, responsibility, and consistency in my studies. I discovered that learning is not only about memorizing lessons but also about applying them in real-life situations. I also realized the importance of working with peers and asking for help from teachers when concepts are difficult to understand.

    2. What are the problems/challenges that I have encountered?

    - One of the problems/challenges that I have have faced was balancing school tasks with personal responsibilities. There were times when deadlines felt overwhelming, and I struggled to keep up with requirements. Another challenge was adjusting to certain lessons that seemed complicated at first, which made me question my ability to fully understand the topics.

    3. How did I address these challenges?

I addressed these challenges by setting a schedule and prioritizing important tasks. I also tried to stay disciplined in following my study habits asked for help when needed. Group discussions and reviewing with peers also helped me understand lessons better and lessen the stress of studying alone.

    4. Moving on, I will...

    - Moving on, I will strive to be more organized and disciplined in managing my time and responsibilities. I will continue to seek help whenever I encounter difficult challenges and make an effort to stay positive and determined. I will also aim to improve not only academically but also building good relationships with my classmates and teachers. With these, I believe I can do better in the next quarter.

This photo shows community members actively participating in a clean-up drive organized by the YCAP in our barangay every Sunday. With brooms, dustpans, and teamwork, residents worked together to clear dried leaves and litter along the street. Activities like this not only promote cleanliness and order but also stregthen unity and responsibility within the community toward protecting the environment.

A Letter to the President

Dear President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr,

Greetings. I am reaching out to express my sincere opinion on the actions you have taken for our country as well as the attitude you have shown as a leader.

Firstly, I want to recognize several of your valuable contributions. It is clear that you are making efforts to enhance development in agriculture, tourism, and infrastracture areas. Your willingness to connect with other countries is also a step toward strengthening our economy and creating more opportunities for us Filipinos.

However, there are also areas that need more attention. Some citizens believe that the government's reaction to certain issues such as the high cost of goods, unemployment, and environmental concerns; has been slow. At times, there is a rumor that your leadership lacks immediate action and clear direction during certain crises.

I believe that a true leader is willing to accept feedback and use it to improve their leadership. I hope that you will continue to listen to the voices of the people and remain open to change for the improvement for everyone. Even though there are a lot of people who talks bad about you, you still carry out the missions here in our country.

Thank you for your time and your dedication to the country. May you continue to lead with honesty and commitment.

                                                                                                                       Respectfully yours,
                                                                                                                                Zyrile

Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!

The Rhythm and the Flavor of Nutrition                                    Month 2025

Every July in the Philippines, Nutrition Month serves as a powerful reminder of the fundamental link between what we eat and our overall well-being. this year, with the theme "Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!", the celebration felt particularly vibrant, emphasizing not just personal health but also the right of every filipino to have access to a nutritious diet. My participation in two of the month's key activities–the nutri-jingle and the food fest offered a firsthand experience of this message, blending creativity with a deeper appreciation for healthy living.

Our school's nutri-jingle competition was a highlight of the month. As a member of our group, I witnessed how a simple creative task could transform into a meaningful educational journey. We spent days brainstorming, crafting lyrics that were both catchy and informative, and choreographing a dance that was energetic and fun. Our song wasn't just about listing fruits and vegetables; it was about celebrating the joy of cooking together, the energy we get from balanced meals, and the importance of making smart food choices. Performing the jingle on stage felt like more than just a competition–it was an act of sharing a message we genuinely believed in using music to communicate the vital importance of nutrition to our peers. 3rd place wasn't that bad at all, atleast we enjoyed–and it was a great first time experience.

The food fest was yet another unforgettable experience, offering a delicious and lively contrast to the competition. The event was a feast for the senses with tables overflowing with different dishes from various areas. Our booth showcased a variety of affordable yet delicious snacks like turon, sopas, brownies, ice candies and more. The tables were filled with mouthwatering treats that drew the attention of students and teachers. It proved that simple food can bring so much joy and connection. The event wasn't just about buying or eating–it was about sharing, bonding and celebrating our love for local and homemade flavors. It was a practical and tasty way to understand the month's theme–that a healthy diet is a celebration in itself.

Taking part in the nutri-jingle and the food fest made Nutrition Month 2025 more than just a public health initiative; it made it a personal journey. The jingle taught me the strength of collaboration and support, whereas the food fest opened my eyes to the efforts and creativity of our homemade snacks. Through these experiences, I gained a fresh viewpoint on the theme, understanding that promoting nutrition is a collective effort that can be both creative and deeply fulfilling.

Best Describes Me

                                            Who Am I?

Before I talk about myself, let me introduce first. My name is Chedrich Zyrile C. Anicoche, 15 years old from Bongtolan Vigan City. I am a Grade 10 student from Ilocos Sur National Highschool. From the title itself, "Who Am I?", I would be sharing things that truly define who I am— my interests, likes or dislikes, and my personality. It may see small, but knowing myself better helps me grow and I believe that it's important to appreciate who I am and what I enjoy in life.

I have a few hobbies that I truly enjoy. One of them is playing the guitar. It helps me express my emotions and helps me relax and feel creative. I also like listening to music because it lightens my mood and sometimes even helps me to focus. Watching movies or series is another thing I enjoy. During my free time, I usually do outdoor    activities just like jogging and training in my club. These activities help me recharge and express myself in different ways.

When it comes to dislikes, I sometimes enjoy alone or being around people who are kind, honest and supportive. I like peaceful environments where I can think clearly and be myself without judgement. On the other hand, I dislike loud arguments, people who shouts at me when speaking, and situations where others are treated unfairly. I try to avoid negativity as much as possible and focus on the things that bring me happiness and peace.

As for my personality, I would describe myself as a quiet, thoughtful and observant person. I might not speak a lot in big groups, but I always make sure to listen and understand others. I'm the type of person who values trust, respect, and honesty, and I try my best to treat others with fairness. While I may seem quiet, I believe my actions speak louder that my words.

Overall, what best describes me is a person who enjoys the simple things in life, respect others, and continues to grow everyday. I am someone who values peace, creativity, and meaningful connections with others. I may have my flaws, but I always try to learn from them and improve myself. I believe that being true to who I am is the most important thing, and I hope that the people around me see me as a thoughtful, sincere, and trustworthy individual.
